The Pearson Invicta is a true modern classic and is well known for her cruising and racing ability. "Burgoo" was the first fiberglass boat to win the Newport / Bermuda race, and other Invictas have cruised the world. "Therapy" is an Invicta II, inwhich the deck was re-designed to allow for full headroom through the cabin, as opposed to the flush deck of the original Invica design. Keel / centerboard design with streamlined bronze board housed in the lead keel, thus attractive 4'6" draft with offshore capabilities.
"Therapy" was completely re-built in 2000 to 2001 by her owner. The deck and hull was completely stripped of gelcoat, all deck area balsa core repaired, all deck hardware and teak trim removed and re-bedded, and the interior refinished throughout. Re-equipping included a Universal 25 HP diesel, Isotherm refrigeration, Force 10 propane stove, among many other features. In 2007, when the current owners purchased "Therapy", all new electronics were added along with new sails and other upgrades.
A classic, great design, that is ready for her next 40 years!
